Landmark Information Group, part of the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), is the UK's leading provider of land and property search information, including digital mapping, environmental risk reports for property professionals and sophisticated property management tools for surveyors, risk and fraud managers and the broader financial markets. It also has operations in Germany in the form of On-Geo, and interests in Holland. We develop both products and services/solutions for our customers, ranging from environmental consultants, surveyors and some of the UK's largest banks & lending institutions (to name just a selection) who all have a common interest - land and property information.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst to play a key pivotal role in the quality assurance of the products and technology of one of the Landmark group companies.
You will be responsible for software testing/quality assurance as part of Landmark’s product development teams, ensuring the highest levels of quality and excellence within the software development lifecycle. Acting as gate keeper of quality assurance practices for your respective area, you will be responsible for driving software quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
There is a strong emphasis on manual testing in this role, taking ownership and responsibility of the associated activities within the product development team. This includes ensuring test automation is embedded into the product development process; with frameworks being built in-line with departmental standards and goals; assisting in refining and evolving automation practices. This role will also provide mentoring for peers and juniors with the team, actively seeking opportunities to share knowledge, experience and best practice. Please note this is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
To be considered you must have a passion for producing quality software and be keen to work in a challenging and stimulating environment. Ideally you will be ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing certified. You will have an extensive track record of successful test case analysis and test execution with demonstrable experience of leading the delivery of testing and quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle. You will need excellent understanding of manual tesing, frameworks and principles alongside a good understanding of technology environments including software architectures, Cloud, Mobile and associated programming techniques. It would be desirable for you have experience in Web Service and Web Site testing; Mobile, cross device testing frameworks and services. Additionally, user interface and user experience quality analysis experience would be advantageous as well as a proven working knowledge of c#.
