    The Opportunity

    This is a technical role, focusing on providing the smooth running of many websites within Landmark on behalf of external clients and contracts. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, managing multiple concurrent tasks with varying technologies.


    The role will involve:


    • Managing servers and applications to ensure all systems function as required and meet the targeted Service Level Agreements
    • Ensuring websites and applications managed by Landmark are functioning correctly, by undertaking regular monitoring and analysis, resolving problems and escalating as appropriate.
    • Working with other team members in maintaining infrastructure and networks and related systems in accordance with agreed priorities and standards.
    • Regularly analysing systems to ensure that they are capable for future planned capacity and functionality.
    • Supporting Landmark IT Development process in the provision of new or improved products and services.
    • Working closely with customer Developers and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and design appropriate IT solutions.
    • Conducting development and implementation tasks for Landmarks systems including project planning, analysis, designing, programming, testing and debugging
    • Ensuring effective Delivery of Landmarks Web Infrastructure and services; liaise with application support, developers, product managers, suppliers and other analysts as required to this end.
    • Supporting in responding to users calls, diagnosing and deciding on the most appropriate solution; to liaise with the system suppliers or other Landmark colleagues to ensure their speedy resolution.


    About You

    We are looking for:


    • Strong experience in a technical support and implementation role, with experience providing 3rd line support in a similar field
    • Ability to analyse problems, determine appropriate solutions
    • Experience of automation and code management technologies, Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Octopus
    • Containerisation, Docker and Kubernetes experience
    • Management of SSL Certs for Internet facing Services
    • Linux OS maintenance, including software rollout procedures, patching and lifecycle management methodologies.
    • Proven experience in administration of Apache with Tomcat and Java application connectivity
    • Proven experience in administration of Web Server connectivity to Oracle or MS SQL Databases
    • Experience in administration of JBOSS and Tomcat middleware.
    • VMWare ESX Administration skills
    • Ability to understand user requirements and translate into technical solutions
    • Networking Skills including LAN / WAN and Internet, Strong TCP/IP skills
    • High Availability / Fault tolerance /Software Load balancing strategies/Hardware infrastructure fault tolerance experience


    The post holder may be required to undertake on-call support duties where required.  This will fall in line with the Teams’ standard out of hours support practices.  The post holder will additionally be required to undertake callouts which includes weekends and late evenings on weekdays as required.
