    The Opportunity

    We are looking for an experienced and proactive Cashier to join our finance department to ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer payments, which will contribute to the smooth running of the credit control and finance teams. This role is on a part time basis, 15 hours per week.

     

    You will be responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate processing of daily cheques / BACS and other electronic receipts received, updating the computerised sales ledger on a daily basis, accurately allocating customer payments to sales invoices, reconciling cheques and BACS payments and processing customer refunds. You will also be responsible for the distribution of the post, preparing cheque banking for Securicor collections, preparing invoice analysis, and dealing with all file cashier documents and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.

    About You

    To be considered for this opportunity you must have 5 GCSE’s (Grade A – C) including Maths and English, or equivalent, with intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills. Previous accounts experience, including the operation of computerised accounting systems would be highly advantageous. This is a dynamic and customer-focused role which requires the ability to work in a flexible environment . You will need strong reconciliation skills and a flexible approach to working, and the ability to organise your own workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
