    The Opportunity

    The Field Sales Manager is responsible to the Director of Sales for the management of a national field sales team who in turn are responsible for a portfolio of existing accounts based throughout England & Wales.

    Key to the success of the role will be developing and implementing effective sales & training strategies, leading the sales team to achieve all KPIs and ultimately sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead & coach national field-based account management team
    • Set objectives for individuals and ensure these are met
    • Develop a consultative sales approach
    • Ensure effective implementation of all new products and services
    • Set and attend face-to-face client meetings with key firms
    • Work alongside Marketing on all existing customer campaigns
    • Hire high performing salespeople
    • Create and implement a comprehensive sales training program to keep the sales team at the forefront of the industry and help each salesperson achieve their goals
    • Run focus groups to understand the needs of customers & feedback to product development team
    • Attend Go To Market meetings to ensure products & services are successfully launched
    • Provide feedback on products, the market and competitor activity
    • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts
    • Create a successful and positive environment for your team.
    • Lead by example in acquisition and ownership of accounts.
    • Communicate a clear vision of what is expected. From delivery of territory plans to achieve sales targets, to displaying the correct  behaviours with customers and colleagues.
    • Support and mentor your team in the field.
    • Monitor your team’s performance against KPI’s and delivery of weekly/monthly forecasts.
    • Liaise closely with the Sales Director, providing regular updates and feedback.
    • Support internal departments to help improve workflows.
    • Consistently provide a high level of support to all customers
    • Ensure CRM is maintained with key customer information and activity.

     

    About You

    To be considered for the role we are looking for the following skills/experience and characteristics.

     

    Candidate Experience:

     

    • Proven track record of successfully managing a national field sales team
    • Outstanding communications skills, and an ability to communicate and influence at all levels
    • A background in data or data services advantageous, likewise legal or conveyancing
    • Calm, composed, professional, high integrity, honest, fair, compassionate  
    • Strong management skills to lead sales team across different territories
    • Business acumen to determine and enforce beneficial strategies to run the sales team
    • Highly organised and efficient, able to manage and prioritise work effectively, with an attention to detail
    • A driver of your own performance to exceed expectations
    • Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
    • Ability to network and build excellent rapport with varied customers and colleagues
    • Comfortable working from home, using core Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to work under pressure and still produce results
    • Ability to lead a team, create and share a vision that the sales team want to adopt
