Landmark Information Group, part of the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), is the UK's leading provider of land and property search information, including digital mapping, environmental risk reports for property professionals and sophisticated property management tools for surveyors, risk and fraud managers and the broader financial markets. It also has operations in Germany in the form of On-Geo, and interests in Holland. We develop both products and services/solutions for our customers, ranging from environmental consultants, surveyors and some of the UK's largest banks & lending institutions (to name just a selection) who all have a common interest - land and property information.
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our group data team in Exeter. Working as part of a larger team, you will support with the analysis, extraction, transformation, loading and quality assurance of various data holdings within our group of companies. You will be required to undertake complex analysis of datasets and collaborate with colleagues to use processes and tools to maintain and add value to data for use in a variety of products and services. The Data Analysis team consists of highly motivated individuals, with a desire to develop technically and to use their energy to constantly improve our processes and keep up-to-date with technological improvements. Fitting in with the team requires a high work ethic and a drive for constant self-improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an important team instrumental for ensuring our various business areas have the necessary and relevant data sets in order to develop their products and solutions, providing the vital project support to these teams as required.
To be considered for this opportunity it would be highly desirable if you possess a qualification in GIS or a Data related discipline, or have the equivalent experience. An interest in Geography is a must, in addition to a natural ability to analyse data and pay close attention to detail. It is also essential that you are good at problem solving and have an inquisitive personality. As you will be part of a larger team, it is important that you are a team player, an effective communicator with a proven ability to manage your time effectively.
