The Opportunity

We are looking for a Change & Release Manager to manage the end-to-end Service Transition activities within the IT Operations team, working with a variety of software development and support teams. This will incorporate all aspects of the Service Transition lifecycle from change management, release management and support handover along with an involvement in incident & problem management. You will be required to balance the needs of the business to provide a stable service to its customers whilst introducing new functionality and providing fixes to the production environments. You will act as a respected facilitator between various parties to ensure continued high levels of service to the end customer. This role will provide support to the Group Change & Release Manager with activities throughout the business as and when required.


You will be responsible for Service Transition within our Searchflow business unit. This will cover all aspects of change from initiation, deployment to testing/live environments, transition into support and decommissioning. The main focus of the role is to ensure the continued stability of the IT systems whilst enabling the business to move forwards. You will enhance, design and rewrite as well as undertake and manage change, release and support handover processes across this designated business unit.


About You

To be considered for this opportunity you would ideally be degree educated and possess an ITIL qualification. You must be committed to high levels of customer satisfaction and happy to maintain a ‘hands on’ approach. You must possess excellent communication and influencing skills along with a strong attention to detail and pragmatic approach to ensure the business meets it needs without taking undue risks. Previous experience that would be useful would be service transition activities (such as change management) and project management.
