Landmark Information Group, part of the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), is the UK's leading provider of land and property search information, including digital mapping, environmental risk reports for property professionals and sophisticated property management tools for surveyors, risk and fraud managers and the broader financial markets. It also has operations in Germany in the form of On-Geo, and interests in Holland. We develop both products and services/solutions for our customers, ranging from environmental consultants, surveyors and some of the UK's largest banks & lending institutions (to name just a selection) who all have a common interest - land and property information.
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and dedicated Compliance Analyst. You will be interacting with all departments and employees including external legal counsel, external customers, auditors and suppliers. The compliance department is responsible for all aspects of Compliance within Landmark Information Group including management and maintenance of 3 ISO standards; legal and regulatory compliance; licensing and accreditation schemes and client contractual compliance.
You will assist with the drafting, review, approval and distribution of contractual documentation and administration of the ISO programme, as well as providing guidance and advice to ensure appropriate implementation of legal and regulatory requirements across Landmark. Additionally you will assist the Senior Compliance Officer in the creation of contracts, confidentially agreements and liaising with customers and suppliers directly whilst having direct responsibility for compliance in business practice, policies and procedures. A small amount of travel may be required to our other group companies.
To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you hold a relevant qualification in law or a technically related subject, at degree level or above; are a chartered legal executive, qualified paralegal or certified auditor or equivalent. You will need to have at least 1-2 years post graduate experience as a Legal Executive, Compliance Officer or similar, with a good knowledge of contract law, data protection and other legal regulatory areas being beneficial. It is highly desirable that the successful candidate has previous experience in a role that required drafting and negotiating contracts and other legally binding agreements.
You will need to be proficient in MS office and have a working knowledge of any ISO standard with the capability to construct prose professionally and comprehensively. Excellent communication skills are required along with the willingness to go the extra mile to deliver excellence and good customer service.
